When every available dime scraped together is earmarked for the printing press in order to get a book printed, it leaves little dinero for marketing. Such was the case for author Alex Bigney. The team of people who believed in the book—and in the project—knew that if people could either hear the author read parts of the book, or read parts of the book themselves, that interest would be generated and book sales would increase. Author readings were scheduled, but how do you get the word out? What if people can’t attend? How could we get excerpts from the book into their hands?
